CJ industries were awarded the contract to complete earthworks and civil construction for two new commercial buildings in Central Nelson. The projects location is classed as a HAIL site and is listed on the Hazardous Activities and Industries List therefore requiring the extracted fill to be tested for contamination before it could be reused for the building’s seismic rafts.
Scope included:
- Site set-out
- Liaison between the geoengineer and client
- Excavation and backfill 3000 M3 of hardfill
- Supply and placement of geogrid reinforcement
